LION, PODCASTING, PERSONAL NEWS, & MORE
We will spend eternity leaning into and learning more about Jesus Christ's exquisite nature. #SpiritualGrowth #Eternity #Heaven Share on XDear Friends,
Today I saw the back of a large bird, seated on the sand near the Intracoastal Waterway. It didn’t look overly attractive (see the left side of the photo below), yet I wondered about its type. So I sent the picture to one of my sons who loves animals, and his wife guessed it was a heron. My son researched some, and sure enough, I do believe I witnessed a great blue heron.
Have you ever seen a heron’s wings stretched wide? It’s an awesome sight. And God’s creativity produced this majestic creature. Each heron fulfills what God formed it to accomplish, and it graces the eye with elegance and beauty. Similarly, I desire to complete God’s call through the words I write and speak. I long for each expression to touch readers and listeners — you — in meaningful, memorable ways. Please join me for the latest with Proclaiming Him to Women…
The Glory of Jesus: Lion of the Tribe of Judah
“And one of the elders said to me, ‘Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals” (Revelation 5:5, NASB).
Mighty. Regal. Fierce. The lion dominates. With tawny fur, sleek strength, and a billowy mane, this creature presents a captivating sight.
With this image in mind, let’s contemplate Jesus Christ, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. He possesses all power, exudes the aura of nobility, and fights evil without restraint. He holds unparalleled authority over all and remains matchless in every way imaginable.
The Lord Jesus Christ surpasses all.
God’s character contains diversity and complexity. For instance, how can Jesus Christ be a Lamb and a Lion? He is. And we will spend eternity leaning into and learning more about His exquisite nature.
As Revelation 5:12 expresses so eloquently, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.”
Indestructible Life
Praise the Lord, podcasting has resumed! I’m thrilled the Lord has enabled me to publish four episodes since the beginning of 2025, and by His grace, I will continue sharing. Longer episodes contain teaching about various Bible people, and shorter episodes consist of the Prophecy Porch Talks I post on YouTube.
If you’re not already tuning in to Indestructible Life, I truly hope you’ll join me. Because the Bible enriches and empowers us for daily life. And if you regularly tune in, thank you ever so much! I’m delighted we can share the joy of God’s Word together.
Portraits of Prayer
My editor indicated I will probably hear from Our Daily Bread Publishing in April. So maybe I will have a book update to share in my next ministry update.
Can you believe it? I have a book coming out!! Glory to God.
Homelife
I’m currently working on an article, and it’s oh-so-close to completion. Please pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance as I seek to finish and submit it for consideration. Please also pray my editor will offer to contract for it. Thank you.
Another Magazine
Quite a while ago, I mentioned interest in another publication, and I recently looked more closely at the possibilities. Please pray God will enable me to email some submissions soon and that the editor will contract for each one. I’d love to branch out into this new arena if God wills.
Journey
Again, thank you for your prayers. I submitted eight devotions in January, and they are scheduled for publication in Winter/Spring 2026. To God be all the glory. Please pray the Lord will minister to every reader through these words.
On a more personal note…
- The updates on our new home continue. We repainted the upstairs and invested in new carpet. I’m going for a “coastal farmhouse” look, and it’s exciting to see aspects coming together. Yay for pretty things! And yay for my husband, Mark, who is skilled at just about everything.
- Our kids are planning their visits, and we are overjoyed to share this wonderful, God-given place with them.
- Oh my goodness, I have started having hot flashes!! I know you will sympathize with me if you have them too. Haha!
- We started attending a church located about five minutes from home, and we appreciate the Bible teaching as well as the kind people and pastor. God created something beautiful in the body of Christ.
- A beloved church friend from years ago moved to this general area about a year ago. She invited me to a ladies Bible study that meets once per week, and we are using Kelly Minter’s book, Esther: Daring Faith for Such a Time as This. I love gathering with these women and doing this study! What an absolute blessing. Thank You, Lord.
- Please pray as we get to know the area, interact with our neighbors, settle into our new home, and all the things that come with relocation. May God use us here in SC for His glory.
Until Next Time
Please be sure to save or print your own copy of my Prayer Starters Guides, which can be used at any time. Another one is scheduled for March 2025. And please share these free resources with a friend if the Holy Spirit places someone on your mind.
Thank you for all your prayers and support. I value you deeply, and as those who belong to Christ, it will be incredible to spend eternity together. Much love to you.
In Christ’s Love,
