THE DEVOTED HEART
“BLESS the LORD, O my soul, O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honor and majesty.” Psalm 104:1, KJV

Articulating our Lord’s wonders cannot be surpassed by anything this world offers. No one deserves worship like our God, so may each of us lift up a devoted heart.
Let us worship.
For truly, God deserves to be honored and magnified. He delights in receiving adoration from those devoted to Him. Creator, Redeemer, Savior. Everlasting Father, Friend of sinners, and on and on and on. Almighty God possesses every awesome quality that exists, and most of all, He is love. Holy, just, and righteous, the living Lord exceeds our comprehension, yet He still…
Sees us…
“Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me?” (Genesis 16:13, NKJV).
Cares for us…
“Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
Helps us…
“So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6).
Draws us to Himself…
“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:44).
Provides for us…
“Do not worry then, saying, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear for clothing?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you” (Matthew 6:31-33, NASB).
God’s mercy and grace silence me.
His faithfulness overwhelms me while His patience sustains me. And I am compelled at this moment to simply bow … to press my face into my hands … to worship the King of kings and Lord of lords.
