“Sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts…” 1 Peter 3:15, NASB
Dear Readers,
Today I’ve been meditating on obedience to Christ, a very convicting truth. Obedience to God in all things demonstrates my faith–it’s a working out of the faith I possess. May Christ have His way with each of us, growing us in holiness and fruitfulness for the glory of His mighty name.
God enabled me to teach at the Harvest Bible Chapel Hickory MOMS group on September 17. Thank you for praying. What a joy to share truths from God’s Word and see the earnest interest in women’s faces. To God be the glory–I trust He’ll use the message in their lives as He sees fit. (Note: If you ever need a speaker, I’d love to chat with you about how I could help. 🙂 )
Fundraising for Reaching for Righteousness, Spanish Edition continues. Some of you have contributed to this project, and I can’t thank you enough. Please pray with me for God’s continued provision. $600 has been donated already, leaving $2150 to reach the total cost, which includes a gift for the translator, publishing and proofreading fees, 100 copies of the book, S & H, and $25 for miscellaneous expenses. God is able!
I’m seeking a location for the Connecting with Christ Conference 2016 and am encouraged by the possibilities. It’s tentatively scheduled for March/April, so please consider attending solo or with a group from your church. Your presence will be treasured, and this event offers a wonderful opportunity to draw closer to Christ as well as build relationships with others. I hope to see you there.
Work on my devotional proposal has taken a new slant: I’m revising the manuscript–presenting the same material from a different perspective. Please pray about this endeavor. Thank you so much.
Now, doesn’t every girl love to dress up? All of us should when it comes to wearing the armor God provides. “Dressing Up,” my new blog segment, will cover a portion of Ephesians 6. I’m excited to dig into these verses and apply truth. Please be sure to join me for the premier post on Oct. 20. I pray this study will encourage us to wear every. single. piece.

One last bit of excitement: I received three copies of Journey Magazine last week. My first devotion appears on Oct. 21, and I’m so grateful to God for the joy of sharing Christ with numerous women. HE is worthy!

Hi Emily, God is doing wonderful things in and through you. Praise His holy name. I am praying that you reach your financial goal. Thank you for the reminder to sanctify Him as Lord in my heart. I remember hearing a pastor say, “If He is not Lord of all He is not Lord at all” that convicted me. I am going to meditate on that verse today.
