Psalm 106 references the many times God’s people, the Israelites, forgot His work on their behalf. How could that be? He accomplished so much for them, yet they lost sight of His marvelous deeds and resorted to sinful choices. But oh, we can do the same thing over and over again.
Yet here’s what we need to do…
Remember. Despite life’s challenges and no matter what we face, we must remember God’s work in the past and present. Because when we remember His goodness, we’re encouraged and strengthened for today.
Verses to remember:
“Nevertheless He looked upon their distress, When He heard their cry; And He remembered His covenant for their sake, And relented according to the greatness of His lovingkindness” (Psalm 106:44-45).
May God use this teaching from Psalm 106 to touch your heart and life.
