Faithful, Changes, Acts Study, & More
Dear Readers,
It’s such a blessing to share with you month by month. I’m encouraged by the progress God has granted Proclaiming Him to Women through the years, and every success testifies to His faithful work.
Please join me for the latest ministry news, shaped by our loving Father’s hands…
THE GLORY OF JESUS: FAITHFUL & TRUE
“And I saw heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True; and in righteousness He judges and wages war” (Revelation 19:11, NASB).
Knowing JESUS as Faithful and True provides security. Because in a world of uncertainty and upheaval, the Lord remains steady. He’s faithful in big and small, knowing our steps before they materialize. He’s also true in the midst of deception and real in every way. Our God surpasses all.
I love to picture the Lord Jesus Christ on His white horse, which He will ride victoriously at His Second Coming. I imagine Him galloping through the sky on this regal creature, clouds parting and enemies cowering. JESUS, our King, the Kings of kings and Lord of lords, is coming to deal righteously with evil.
In the meantime, we live “by Him and for Him” (Colossians 1:17). Though each of us is “just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away” (James 4:14), God has entrusted us with good works to walk in (see Ephesians 2:10). We can rely on His faithful and true character along the way. He is with us! He is for us. And JESUS is “the way, and the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).
PERSONAL WRITING RETREAT
Words cannot describe the joy I experienced during my mountain retreat. The view from my cabin’s porch delighted me, and the uninterrupted time with Jesus just filled me up. Quiet refreshed me with its sweet melody.
God granted me cherished moments with Him, progress on my Acts Bible study, and an understanding of necessary ministry steps. I praise the Lord for providing this much-needed getaway, and I’m thankful it resulted in a renewed writing focus. All glory to our awesome God!
Thank you for your prayers.
IN THE VALLEY
It’s often been acknowledged that mountaintop experiences are usually followed by times in the valley, and after my return home, I encountered a few “bumps in the road.” Through it all, however, God remains by my side. He’s the “One who lifts my head” (Psalm 3:3) and the One who “hast taken hold of my right hand” (Psalm 73:23). Though I don’t enjoy valley times, God uses them to strengthen and grow me. He is faithful.
BLOG CHANGES
In order to complete my Bible study along with a book proposal, God clarified I need to alter my current schedule of podcasting, blogging, and creating YouTube videos. Juggling too many responsibilities counteracts effectiveness, so I’m reducing weekly commitments.
The most significant change involves my Heart Stirrings blog. Rather than posting three times a month, I’ll return to monthly communications from this point forward. But! I’ll include links to each podcast in every ministry update, so you won’t miss any information.
I trust this schedule adjustment will benefit you, too. If you subscribe to Heart Stirrings, please expect my e-mails on the first Tuesday of each month plus look for my next one on March 7. And if you currently don’t subscribe, please do so at the link below. I’d love to have you!
PODCAST CHANGE + REVIEWS
For those who follow Indestructible Life or tune in regularly, you probably noticed I announced my next episode for February 14. On second thought, I’ve decided to air this episode on Monday, February 13, so please look for it on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts and more at that time. Thank you so much for listening!
The Lord also has encouraged me by the podcast reviews and feedback people have shared. Thank you, and to God be the glory! It feels like Indestructible Life has given me a voice that’s been limited until this time. Through the use of modern technology, I’m able to teach the Bible and reach women around the world, and I praise God for this privilege.
ACTS BIBLE STUDY
God planted the seed for this study during my personal writing retreat 2022, and this year He added words to my manuscript. Sometimes they arrived slowly, yet other times they flowed onto my computer screen.
At one juncture when work stretched before me and my thoughts stuck, the Holy Spirit directed me to “just rest.” What?! I didn’t respond enthusiastically because I felt determined to make more headway on this project. But as I walked on the camp and conference center property, the Lord revealed how to incorporate my heart into each lesson, which I had prayed about earlier because I sensed it was missing.
God is so good! He’s with me in the writing process, and I trust He’ll use this Bible study for earthly and eternal impact in women’s lives. Thank you for your continued prayers.
DONATIONS
Proclaiming Him to Women received a donation from the same person/couple in January and February, and this support has touched my heart so deeply. God be praised for His loving care through the body of Christ. If you’d like to know more about how to give and how donations are used, please CLICK HERE. Thank you so much!
HOMELIFE
Initially, my next article was scheduled to publish this month, but it was moved to the March issue. I’m confident the Lord will use it for His purposes at that time, and I remain thankful for this opportunity to reach people with God’s Word.
RECOMMENDED READING
I recently read a brief devotional post about trusting God, and He used it to encourage me about my writing. I’m not where I would have chosen at this stage in ministry. If I could have arranged matters, I would have authored more than one Bible study by this time. But the Lord knows best, and He used this message to align my perspective with His. Perhaps you’re sensing you need a similar adjustment. If so, please take a couple moments to read, Do You Trust Me?
HOW ABOUT YOU?
It’s truly a privilege to pray for you. Please feel free to e-mail me with your requests if you could use a friend’s prayer. Life can be so hard at times, but God gives us an open invitation to “receive mercy and … find grace” (Hebrews 4:16) at His throne of grace. I’d love to join you in this way.
UNTIL NEXT TIME
May God’s love, joy, and peace bless you today and always. “Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass” (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
