Favorite Scriptures To Touch Your Heart

Dear Readers,

Years ago when my husband and I experienced a particularly difficult trial, a friend took time to write out a page of Bible verses and mail it to us. They didn’t add anything–they just allowed God’s Word to comfort us and minister into our hurt. I still remember. Of all the meaningful cards and thoughtful words others expressed, this one action especially impacted me.

With that in mind, I’ve composed a list of several Scriptures that minister to me time and time again. God has spoken to me through these ancient words in the past, and He continues to use them in my present. I pray at least one of these verses will touch your heart exactly how you need it today. God’s Word is living and active (Heb. 4:12)—more powerful than we can comprehend.

May you savor these words of truth and allow them to sink deep into your soul.

In Christ’s Love,

“Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.” Psalm 62:8, Nasb
“The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe.” Proverbs 18:10
“‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'” Isaiah 41:10
“Though the fig tree should not blossom, And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail, And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold, And there be no cattle in the stalls, Yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. The Lord GOD is my strength, And He has made my feet like hinds’ feet, And makes me walk on my high places.” Habakkuk 3:17-19
“The LORD your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.” Zephaniah 3:17
