“For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His…” 2 Chron. 16:9, NASB
Loving Father,
You see every act of goodness and every agony of sorrow in this world. From the hungry cries of infants who are nourished in their mother’s arms to the empty stares of children wasting away from famine, You see.
You hear every prayer and word of worship lifted by Your people. At the same time, You hear every curse uttered against Your precious, holy name. God, you hear.
And You feel. When Your creation rebels against You and refuses Your beloved Son, You feel the pain of rejection. Yet the joy of love encompasses You as You draw people to Jesus and they trust in Him—You rejoice in lives made new. You also glory in Your sanctifying work that heals hearts, mends relationships, and restores hope.
Father! You know. Every thought, every action, and every word–You’re aware of everything ahead of time. I can’t imagine the enormity of all You see, hear, feel, and know. Like the vastness of the ocean and the mystery of its depths, Your greatness awes me.
But I’m not surprised because You are God, the only true God, who cares and loves.
And I worship You, overcome by Who. You. Are.
In Jesus’ beautiful name, Amen.
