“Grace to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 1:2, NASB
Dear Readers,
Thank you for being such a vital part of this ministry through your interest, support, and prayers. I sincerely appreciate you, and I’m grateful to God for joining our hearts through His Son, Jesus.
In early June, God enabled me to e-mail my devotional proposal to some agents and an editor. Now, I wait and pray. I’m thankful, actually, for this brief respite after getting my material submitted, and I’m interested to see how God directs through the ensuing response.
My writing for Sophie Woman’s Magazine continues. Forty-two articles and three-and-a-half years later, I remain tremendously grateful for this opportunity. It excites and inspires me knowing God uses “Recipes for Life” to touch numerous lives for His purposes. He is SO good, and His plans are astounding.
I’m also enjoying my new job of providing devotions for Journey. The magazine’s tagline reads, “A woman’s guide to intimacy with God,” which truly echoes Proclaiming Him to Women Ministries’ mission of “Stirring hearts toward Jesus.” I love that God allows me to write for Him with this particular passion. Because if our hearts aren’t engaged in some capacity with the Son of God, the Lord of lords and King of kings, our matchless Lord Jesus Christ, nothing else really matters, does it?
Perhaps you’ve noticed the recent changes to my blog postings–topics and times. I decided to reintroduce my “Prayer Partners” segment as “Drawing Near,” thereby eliminating “Tidbits of Truth.” I’ve titled my weekly devotions as well, and since they intersect real life with biblical truth, this segment is called “Doing Life.” I’m still determining optimal send times, and as you know, I’ve settled on Tuesday and Saturday evenings for the time being. I hope you’re deeply blessed and inspired by the prayers and messages God graciously gives me–to Him be all the glory!
Finally, I close this update with a special thank you to my faithful prayer team. You know who you are, and I hold immense gratitude in my heart for your contributions to this ministry, which God continues to grow. Without a doubt, you and your prayers are making a huge impact. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Much love in Christ,
