Precious, Exquisite Lord Jesus, how BEAUTIFUL You are! Exceeding imagination, Your character’s loveliness eternally exists. Humble and gentle yet mighty and victorious, You sit in splendor and power at Your Father’s right hand.
I gaze upward at You. Momentarily undistracted, I focus … and adore.
I can’t comprehend the depths of Your love or magnitude of Your sacrifice. Yet You give me glimpses. As I pore over Your Word with my brothers and sisters, You reveal Yourself. As we share Your Supper, You reveal Yourself. This I long to remember.
When busyness swirls, when opportunities and challenges arise, remind me to envision the eternal.
To gaze … focus … and adore.
Remind me this life only lasts temporarily. Yesterdays fade as eternity rushes my way. I long to be ready … for You.
Remind me I’m Your bride. Lovingly, diligently, tenderly You’re preparing me for Your presence. Using all things for good, You’re making me holy and blameless.
Remind me You are mine. Nothing can separate me from You and Your love.
Yes Lord, remind me to envision the eternal, where I’ll forever be captivated by You.
In Your glorious name, Amen.
