“In the year of King Uzziah’s death, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called out to another and said,

‘Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory.’

And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke. Then I said, ‘Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I live among a people of unclean lips;

‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?’

Then I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’

Dear Friends,

As God graciously has granted us this new year of 2015, He’s given me a thought to ponder and pass on:

Everyone who belongs to God is an ambassador for Christ. Our calling is to share Him wherever, however the Holy Spirit leads. We don’t have to go overseas to labor alongside the Lord in expanding His kingdom. In fact, we probably shouldn’t head overseas until we make a difference for Christ right in the community He’s already placed us.

I want God to use me for His glory. I long to be faithful with everything He’s entrusted me with. Throughout this year and always, I desire:

• To have a willing heart.
• To go where He sends.
• To speak boldly, yet gently, of my amazing Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

I believe many of you share these desires. As we enter another year, let’s purpose together to serve our King with newfound zeal. If He truly means everything to us, what we do and what we say will reflect Him. He’ll spill through us to those we know and those we encounter. 

Maybe Jesus is coming for us, His bride, this year. Let it be so! Until then,

“Let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith …” Heb. 12:1
