Dear Readers,

January has blown in like gusts of snow on a windy day. Despite experiencing my second round of a nasty cold virus, I’m thankful for energy to tackle new and continuing projects. Just this morning I focused my heart on accomplishing today’s goals in the Spirit rather than fruitlessly laboring in my own strength—a.k.a., the flesh.

I’d love to share the verse God used to inspire me:

“‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts.” Zech. 4:6

Don’t you love that? Ahhh … it helps me release my clutch and place my responsibilities into God’s hands. It enables me to rely on Christ’s strength rather than my own, which bears much greater fruit. If you, like me, periodically worry about how you’re going to complete your responsibilities, this is the verse for us 🙂 . God is faithful. He performs awesome deeds in our lives when we lean on Him.

Speaking of awesome deeds, God worked wonders this past week in regard to my birth certificate.

I received a notice from the passport office on Dec. 30, notifying me that the birth certificate I submitted was insufficient. So I ordered a certified one from PA, where I was born, but I was told there could be a 35-40 day processing period. Yikes! That potentially put me at the end of February before my BC might arrive—let alone mailing it to VA to finish the passport process.

You know what God did? Something amazing. I don’t know how, but I received my BC on Jan. 6, and it’s already been received by the passport office in VA. Praise be to God.

Plans for my Nicaragua mission trip continue.

I held a lengthy conversation with Brenda Lancaster of ZMI this morning. It’s possible my trip dates might change to March 16-March 27, which will extend my stay from seven days to 12. Please pray with me for God’s confirmation. This will increase trip expenses, but it will also afford me the opportunity to speak at an event where 1,000-2,000 women are anticipated to attend. We just desire to follow the Spirit’s leading in all these details.

Currently, I’m in the midst of preparing for the ADORN mini-conference.

Lord willing, I’ll share three messages on Jan. 21 at West Hickory Baptist Church in Hickory, NC. I’m thrilled to be studying 1 Peter 3:1-6 and gaining a better understanding of a wife’s submission to her husband as well as her adornment. If this topic interests you for your church or another women’s group, please let me know. I’d love to bring this one-day conference to you.

God led me yesterday to a commitment I didn’t anticipate: I’ve invited women everywhere to join me on a journey closer to God’s heart.

On Jan. 16, 2017, I’ll begin using my FREE GUIDE: 21 Days That Will Impact Your Relationship with Christ. Six women already have committed to journey with me through the Gospel of John, and you’re warmly invited as well. For details along with sign-up information, please go to my Facebook Page and watch the video that’s pinned to the top. (You don’t need to have a Facebook account to access this public page—just click on the link above.) We’ll complete this journey on Feb. 5, and did I mention that I’d love love for you to join us?

God blessed Proclaiming Him to Women Ministries in numerous ways last year. I’m so grateful.

Now, in 2017, I look forward to the Lord accomplishing even more. May the name of Jesus be exalted and many lives be impacted for His glory. May God increasingly use this ministry to stir hearts toward JESUS.

Much love in Christ,
