Loving Father,
You’re perfect in all Your ways, yet we’re far from perfect in ours. You’re glorious and full of splendor—we’re lost without You. Thank You for seeing us in our need and showing us compassion. What a gracious, good God You are. We love you. We’re so grateful for Your beautiful Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who gives us life and peace with You.
Today, we lift up loved ones hurt or disillusioned by the church.
As much as we love You and desire to please You in all things, we fail many times. We recognize our pride and selfishness, which alienates and offends others. How can this be? Why do we continue to do things we hate and neglect the good we long to accomplish? Father, have mercy on us. We ask for Your forgiveness and for Your healing touch on those we’ve wounded.
We also pray for loved ones who are misguided by false teaching.
You are truth, yet so much deceit and falsehood slithers through the church. Open the eyes and ears of our loved ones to see and to hear the truth of Your Word, exposing the enemy as he seeks to destroy Your beloved bride. Restore Your people to a correct understanding of Your great salvation and how one becomes Yours—
“By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast” (Eph. 2:8-9).
Please hear our humble prayer. Please do mighty things in the wounded, the wandering, and us—the weak. We desperately need You.
In Jesus’ beloved name, Amen.
