Loving Father in heaven,
Your peace encompasses so much more than I realized: tranquility, a satisfied condition, and a sense of well-being.* How fitting and perfect You are, knowing what I need and always ready to supply.
Renew a tranquil spirit within me. Let me view life with a calm eye, resting in the assurance You have everything under control. You hold a plan, and my part is to fit into it rather than striving after my own.
Satisfy my heart—fill me with contentment in You alone. Remove the endless yearning within, the aching for more.
Grant me an underlying and overreaching sense of well-being. Focus my attention on all You’ve accomplished for me through Christ and every blessing I possess in Him. Open my eyes to understand that tomorrow doesn’t hold the fulfillment of my dreams…

Just read this before turning out the lights for sleep. Have been so praying for this in my life these past weeks since our big move to Alaska! Thank you, Emily, as always for putting my hearts desire into words.
