HEART STIRRINGS will stir your ♥ toward JESUS while helping you know, love, and live God's Word.
“And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, Then you will know the LORD.” Hosea 2:20, NASB
Dear Readers,
I’m beyond tired at the moment, but something about writing wakes me up. I can’t really explain why, but I love to write. Perhaps part of the reason is because it’s a way to share my heart. And in this instance, it’s my joy to share the latest…
THE GLORY OF JESUS
Hosea 2:20 presents a striking truth that enamors me. While the book of Ezekiel often states, “And they will know that I am the LORD” (Ezekiel 7:27), this verse simply declares, “Then you will know the LORD.” It’s one thing to know God is God and another to know Him. God spoke the words of Hosea 2:20 to His chosen people, the Israelites, yet we can apply them to our lives today.
Because of JESUS, we can know God … not just of Him or about Him, but HIM! We’re privileged to know the God of the universe intimately. We can experience a growing, fulfilling relationship with Him, and it will never end. Let’s treasure this truth anew.
And I must ask, have you received Jesus as your Savior? Have you placed your faith in Christ because He died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day? In a world full of increasingly bad news, this is the best news ever! May the Lord Himself be your joy.
THE GREAT RESET
Likely you’ve heard this term used in reference to a worldwide shift, but I recently realized my role as a schoolteacher has created a “Great Reset” for me. In a matter of days this past January, I transitioned from focusing on writing and speaking to teaching high school students five days a week. I know God called me to this assignment “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14). However, my commitment will be completed soon, and I’m forever changed.
I can’t even express how excited I am to delve back into writing and speaking! Yet I now look at life and ministry with a new set of eyes. I appreciate more. I’m more determined than ever to focus on God’s calling to write and speak. I’m more passionate about getting some of my material in print. God has used this semester of teaching to teach me invaluable truths about Himself, and I praise His Holy Name.
Last week the editor for Journey Magazine asked me to write four devotions for Jan/Feb 2022, and I just signed the contract. To God be the glory! He’s already inspired me with three of the four topics needed. Once school ends and after I attend the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference, I plan to write with abandon 😊.
UNTIL NEXT TIME
May your love and gratitude for JESUS grow … day by day and step by step. HE is coming soon!
In Christ’s Love,
