Dear Readers,
As I considered what material to share every fifth Tuesday, I thought you might like to know more about me outside of my writing and speaking. I honestly don’t like to talk about myself, but I’m hoping these occasional posts will provide a window into me as a person. So, for starters…
Did you know I’m fascinated by teaching on the end times?
Whether I discuss current events and Bible prophecy with my husband, watch YouTube videos, or read internet articles, biblical insights about the end times intrigue me. I can get lost for hours in researching this topic. I’ve heard that 1/3 of the Bible contains prophecy, which indicates its importance.
I was introduced to Bible prophecy about 30 years ago by my boyfriend at the time, who is now my husband of 28+ years. Mark understood so much of the Bible’s teaching concerning this immense subject, and it didn’t take me long to discover God’s diligence in communicating His future plans. He explains coming events in the Bible, enabling His people to understand them—at least to some degree.
“For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning And from ancient times things which have not been done” (Isaiah 46:9-10).
I’m sensitive to the fact that this topic can be controversial. I’d never, ever want to create any sort of discord based on this subject matter, yet I simply share my interest with you so you can know me better. Though I don’t feel knowledgeable enough to teach on this subject, I love to discuss what I believe the Bible teaches about it. Regardless of the various beliefs we hold regarding eschatology, all of us should excitedly anticipate Jesus’ return. Our Lord is coming soon! And what a glorious day that will be.
