My daughter and I are reading through Proverbs together. Each school day morning, we begin by taking turns reading a chapter, and then we discuss it. These have been the most precious mother-daughter times, and they’ve helped cure some anxiety. You see, I often worry about my children. Can you relate? It’s a pesky affliction, this worry thing. Yet I’m finding that the more time Chloe and I spend in the Word together, discussing truth, the more I rest in God’s work in her heart. After all, it’s HIS work, not mine.

This morning we discussed Proverbs 9, and verse 6 contains particular encouragement:

“Forsake your folly and live, And proceed in the way of understanding.”

I love the hope presented in this verse. No matter what mistakes riddle our past, and despite the wrong choices that might litter today, God provides another opportunity.

The Lord offers wisdom to us from This. Moment. Forward.

Listen to James 1:5 ~

“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

Dear one, have you asked? Have you presented your need for wisdom to God? He will provide.

A relationship with God is pretty amazing. He’s so personal with each one of us, and He’s for us!

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?” (Rom. 8:31, NASB)

The Lord doesn’t look at us every morning and declare, “Yep, I’m just waiting for her to fail today. She’s such a loser.” NO! God delights in each of His children. He knows the number of hairs on our heads, and He knows the number of difficulties we face. He redeemed us through the blood of His precious Son, and He holds us securely in His hands.

God sees you. He cares, and He will help you. Just ask.

In Christ’s Love,
