“He makes my feet like hinds’ feet, And sets me upon my high places.” Psalm 18:33
Dear Readers,
Yesterday I posted my “Encouragement for You ~ Ezekiel 3:8” video, and it contains a message I hesitated to share. Yet posting it enabled me to realize that I’m afraid—afraid of traveling to another country, afraid of getting sick from the heat or something else, afraid of getting exhausted, and afraid I’ll communicate poorly when it’s time to teach God’s Word. Though I’m not thrilled to relay these fears to you, I’m thankful the Lord has clarified their existence.
Whatever the challenge, we need to see the problem before we can correct it.
“I sought the LORD, and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.” Ps. 34:4
Please pray as my preparation time for Nicaragua winds down. Spiritual warfare assumes various shapes, and I anticipate more will crop up as my departure date approaches. Though I’m uncertain what will slither my way, your prayers will raise up God’s mighty protection over me. I value your intercession as the Holy Spirit leads—thank you with all my heart. Several specific prayer requests flutter through my mind now:
- the Spirit’s leading as I prepare teaching material
- alertness—spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional
- strength & good health
- deeper faith & peace of mind
- the ability to teach the Bible with excellence
- wonderful connection with the women I will minister to
- much spiritual fruit & God’s glory
Also, God has supplied most of my funding. I’m grateful for His marvelous provision—my original goal of $3,000 has been met! Even so, my expenses have increased due to extended trip dates along with additional needs. My church family is holding a yard sale on March 11 to help, and if you’d like to give as well, please visit my fundraiser page.
In other news, I taught my ADORN conference material this past Jan. 21 at a local church.
Praise the Lord, the teaching was well-received, which encourages me to pursue other conference hosts. We can learn so much about a gentle and quiet spirit along with submission to our husbands from 1 Peter 3:1-6. This truth from God’s Word holds healing and help for marriages today.
I completed a journey through my guide, 21 Days That Will Impact Your Relationship with God, on Feb. 5.
Several women joined me as we discussed the Gospel of John on my Facebook ministry page. I loved hearing the variety of insights and found this to be a profitable experience. I hope the ladies did as well 🙂 .
On Feb. 17-19, I plan to attend the Asheville Christian Writer’s Conference at the Cove.
A sweet young lady will be traveling with me and experiencing her first writer’s conference. I pray it will encourage her pursuit of writing for the Lord. I also pray for God’s further direction for my writing as I connect with professionals and friends in the industry.
God also has opened the door for me to mentor a young wife and mom, which brings me tremendous joy.
We plan to meet together regularly to study the Word and talk about life. I consider this a fabulous opportunity and privilege—may the Lord use this experience to enrich both of our lives for His glory.
Please know I’m available to pray for you or talk with you as needs arise.
I want to interact this way because JESUS is my hope, and He offers hope for every situation. Please feel free to contact me.
Thanks for taking time to read this update. You’re special to me, and I thank the Lord for you. May God grant you a deeper awareness of His presence, filling you with a growing experience of His love.

I just wrote that Psalm down today! He’s so good!
I was thinking this verse as I read your update – “For you shall not go out with haste, Nor go by flight; For the Lord will go before you, And the God of Israel will be your rear guard.” Isaiah 52:12
Blessings of His Strength ✨
Dear Jessica,
Thank you so much for adding the Isaiah verse ~ I love the truth of God going before and behind me. So comforting! I appreciate your visit to my blog. Please come again.
