Ministry Update: Writers’ Conference & Spanish Translation

“But you will not go out in haste, Nor will you go as fugitives; For the LORD will go before you, And the God of Israel will be your rear guard.” Isaiah 52:12, NASB

Dear Readers,

Before attending the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers’ Conference, the Lord gave me Isaiah 52:12. This theme of God going before me and following behind me re-surfaced during the conference, and His presence with me even now gives tremendous peace.

God is sovereign. God is great. God is awesome.

The Lord enabled me to speak with five literary agents and one editor. Four of those agents plus the editor requested my book proposal, and I. Am. Thrilled! To God be the glory. Now, I trust Him to grant me time and strength to follow through on these opportunities. Family life is incredibly busy right now–and joyfully so–yet I know God will lead me faithfully in accomplishing this ministry work as well.

He never leaves us hanging–He provides all we need to do His will.

Another highlight from the BRMCWC involved meeting new friends who love writing as much as I do. I can’t tell you how much joy it brought me to interact with people God placed in my pathway. I look forward to touching base with these contacts and seeing what friendships develop further. God is so kind.

On another exciting front, I just received a PDF of Reaching for Righteousness fully translated into Spanish. Woo-hoo! Truly God is great and awesome. Please pray as I seek to focus attention on this project and proceed to the next step. I’ve already been in touch with a publisher, so it’s a matter of implementing a fundraiser for this project.

I just love the personal ways God speaks to us through His Word. As I spent time with Him at the writers’ conference, He brought verses from the book of Nehemiah to my attention. Thoughts followed, and it amazes me even still how God uses ancient words in a very present sense.

Only God can speak like He speaks and do what He does.

Thank you, dear friends, for your faithful prayers for Proclaiming Him to Women Ministries. Thank you for lifting me up as I attended the conference–I experienced such peace and joy as a result. God heard our prayers as He indeed granted me favor with different industry professionals, and I will keep you posted as this journey continues.

To God be the glory.

In Christ’s Love,

Emily

P.S. Due to family commitments, I won’t be blogging the week of May 25. Please look for my next post on Monday, June 1. Thank you!
