“He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.” Ps. 23:3
God Most High! You alone satisfy. You’re my morning–the dawn of every HOPE. You stay with me in my night, ever faithful, tender, loving. I worship You with all my heart, O glorious One who exists in majesty and strength.
Every proclamation, every declaration, every exaltation belongs to You. May Your name be praised continually … in my life, in my loved ones’ lives, in my country, and in Your church.
Though sometimes this nation’s future appears hopeless, You sovereignly reign over all. Nothing occurs without Your knowledge, allowance, or wisdom. Everything fits perfectly into Your plan. Empower and embolden us to faithfully pray for Your redemptive work in our country … that You might graciously bring about an awakening, drawing many to Your precious Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Indeed, YOU ARE the God who saves.
Kindly lead us, Your people–the bride of Christ, the church of God–to repentance:
- Be merciful, O God, deliver us from idols that snare … turn us FULLY back to You. Sadly we’ve welcomed in the world’s ways, enabling it to obscure our vision and dim our witness. Open our eyes that we might see Your paths of righteousness–teach us to walk in them … with You.
- Forgive us for times we’ve judged and condemned one another, determining ourselves superior. O Father, surely we’ve grieved You by not loving each other enough. Teach us to LOVE.
And grant us FAITH to believe YOU ARE ABLE to answer these requests…
Where darkness blinds, shine Your light. Where deception misleads, reveal Your truth. Where bitterness festers, dispel by Your grace. Where sorrow shadows, overwhelm with joy.
Lead us in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake.
