Loving Father in heaven,

The brokenhearted. We see some of their faces etched in our minds:

The abused one.

The depressed one.

The forgotten one.

The one who looks fine outwardly but is locked in despair.

We pray for Your people who are anguished. You know every situation, and You tenderly care for Your own. Thank You. We grieve alongside our brothers and sisters who have suffered loss and those who endure seemingly impossible situations. You are sovereign. You are good. You are love.

We also pray for those who don’t know Christ as Savior–may You gently draw them to Your Son. Open their eyes in the midst of their heartaches to see YOU: Your love, mercy, and salvation. Jesus, You understand suffering and the brokenness of humanity. You are compassionate. You are kind. You are gracious.

Please soften our hearts to ache with the broken–to feel their sorrow and faithfully lift them up to Your throne of grace. Over and over and over.

Until Jesus comes.

In His mighty, comforting name, Amen.

“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted, And saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18, NASB

    1. Dear Arielle,

You’re welcome ~ the Lord gave me these words “for such a time as this” (Est. 4:14).

Much love to you in Christ,
      Emily
